My youngest daughter suffered from jaundice soon after birth, and had to endure some phototherapy during her first week.

Seeing the tiny and vulnerable baby girl naked under lights, with a mask on (to protect her eyes) wasn't the nicest parenting experience, particularly as it restricted the amount of physical contact we could have with her. However, she recovered from the jaundice, and is doing well.
In fact, it's her first birthday later this week!
