The children in this collection of portraits are from local families near the Elpida School in Noelbaki, in West Timor. One afternoon we spent some time playing soccer with children from the New Hope Home on the concrete soccer pitch at Elpida School, and many of the local children came to watch.
Most of the children were happy to smile at my camera, but some were a bit too shy and hid their faces.
