During a recent walk around Burswood with a colleague one lunch time, we found this egret wandering around one of the lakes behind the Burswood Casino complex.

G'day,

Just stumbled across this picture. The bird is not an Intermediate Egret, but a Great Egret (Ardea alba). Check out the length of the neck compared with the body length, the obvious kink in the neck and the distance the line of the gape runs behind the eye.
