discussion, gear, and photography journal
I've previously posted a photo from a KAP session at Prevelly, near Margaret River in the south west of Western Australia. Here are a few more photos from that KAP session, all taken with a GoPro Hero2 suspended from the line of my FlowForm 16 kite.

When hanging a camera from a kite line, you can get some interesting photos by pointing the camera straight down, and here are two examples.

I really love the unusual perspectives that KAP offers. But as drones become more popular and more affordable, is KAP going to become obsolete?

@Richard: no, KAP will never become obsolete.
There has been quite a bit of discussion on this in the KAP forums, but many KAPpers do KAP because they love kites, wind, etc, and aren't fans of drones / multi-rotor copters.
Not only that, but the legal issues with flying drones is also a big limitation in many locations.
